FiberPlus Security Services drew much attention at the recent annual training day of the Industrial Security Awareness Council, an organization formed to promote security awareness for both large and small defense contractors.
FiberPlus, as part of the Federal SCIF Services Group which it helped form, provided a comprehensive introduction to the arcane world of SCIFs to the various federal contractors that attended the event at the Johns Hopkins Advanced Physics Laboratory.
The discussion ranged from leased SCIF space and the requirements for the actual construction of a SCIF to the standards for destruction of classified documents. FiberPlus representative Mark Jones covered the physical security standards including access control, intrusion detection and UL 2050 security monitoring.
